not talking about teams that use monor league facilities. I assume LSU ranks near the top currently and well obviously stay there next year...

Mississippi State ?
i don't count "sitting on old rusted out trucks" as part of the capacity...

Arkansas' capacity is around 11,000 while Miss. State holds around 16,000.

Miss. St has the largest. I think there record is 14,000.

It's still the correct answer though.

I think Tehas does with over 10,000 seats, not using trucks like Miss. State. Tehas blows

how many is the new stadium actually gonna seat?

texas don't have a big stadium. miss state has the old wooden decks to watch games in the outfield, does that count.

They need to pony up a little more money to get the berm done now so that seating can be available for the first game

i'm assuming UNO based on their fans' description.

Hogwired web site has Baum Stadium listed at roughly 10,500 seats with 9,200 chairbacks and 34 luxury boxes...there has to be something out there that's larger as far as pure attendance capcity.

Why is LSU building a new baseball stadium that will still only be the third largest in the SEC? I don't like the "Berm" idea either. Cheap and tacky. Just show a little class and put some permanent seating in the outfield please....

MSU only has 7000+ actual seats. The rest of their capacity is outfield and standing room only.
Arkansas has done 3 expansions in the last 5 years. Those were on top of a stadium that was built from scratch in the mid 90's, so the infrastructure was there to easily expand affordably.
LSU is spending $36 million plus to start from scratch in an all new facility. I am sure they would have loved to build bigger but that $36 million is $12 more than the original budget from before Katrina. At this point the "berm" is the most feasible way to expand capacity. Keep in mind, the new Box will have 1000 more seats than the existing Box plus the "berm" for an overall capacity of 10,000+. Although the berm may be a year or so in the future.
So, technically, only Arkansas will have a larger seating capacity than LSU. And at the rate both programs are going, look for LSU to pass Arkansas in capacity in the future when more money is available.
