We will have the most talented team on paper in the country. It will be up to Jay to put it together, which he will. I see great things happening for the Purple and Gold in Omaha next year. The article was spot on.

Half the top 20 is SEC

burreauxxx gonna be rooting so hard against LSU next season.
negative people will try to point out, but LSU was preseason top 5ish last season! i still say that LSU team makes noise in Omaha if they finish out Carolina.
however, guess what? LSU was like preseason #1 the season before and that worked out quite well. I'll gladly take LSU being considered one of the top teams.

Way too many question marks for that ranking.

What were we ranked last preseason?

Every team has question marks. With the portal there is constantly an influx of new players every year on every team

Who would you rank 1st?
That’s right, you don’t know

Why. Tell me about their team

Even if you’re correct, you’re talking out of your arse. You don’t know dick about anyone else’s roster except LSU’s and I’d even be willing wager that you don’t know shite about LSUs roster except for the generic cliches that get thrown around here daily
Why are people so comfortable dropping hyperbole like this and accepting it as fact? It’s so weird to me

Not with a rookie coach.

And that was mostly based on name and being the defending champions.
We lost A LOT from the title team, and I think most people going into the 2024 season knew we would probably take a step back. Now I don’t think anyone thought we would struggle to find our way into the postseason, but nonetheless it wasn’t a huge surprise given what we lost that we weren’t a Top10ish team. That said, at the end of the season and into the postseason we finally started to come together and arguably were playing like a Top10 team.
I expect 2025 to be a really good team, back to LSU standards and competing for a Top8 seed and title. That said, lots of moving parts and new pieces…. It will be on JJ to make sure the roster clicks. But the pieces are in place for sure.

You lost your entire weekend rotation.
You lost your biggest bat.
You lost your best bull pen arms.
And you replaced it with guys from lower d-1 schools.
Does that translate to the sec? No one knows.
Last year we were told in fall and spring scrimmages how dominant we would be on the mound, and we definitely underperformed those predictions.
You are also assuming Shores and Noot comeback ready to contribute in a big way.
We all expected Kling, Neal, Frey, and Jones to make a leap from freshman to sophomores and only Jones made that leap.
There’s just a ton of unknowns to say in July we should be pre season#1.
Definitely think the ingredients are there, but who steps up and how the new guys perform will determine that, and it’s far too early to make any predictions.

I think the Aggies definitely will have one of the best offenses in the country.
As far as pitching, they have to replace their coach and several top arms.
That will be the key area to watch for them.
LSU actually lost more then Aggies on offense and lost top weekend starters and best reliever. The pitching staff although talented on paper is unproven in SEC. I feel more comfortable about the offense despite losing White.

I think on paper they look good but lots of questions. Is Shore going to be him old self? Herring is going to sign right? If LSU brings back Herring that would be one heck of a bullpen.

You only argued against the accuracy of preseason polls in July.
With what we know today, is LSU better than everyone or not? If you’ve researched it deeper than BA, let us know.
