Advocate's list shows my age.
In my fantasy world, my walkup song at The Box would be "Foggy Mountain Breakdiwn" by Flatt and Scruggs.

Not sure why you're getting crushed, it wasn't a "get off my lawn" post

There are at least 7 everyone should know: so you are lying

Stairway to Heaven, Cowboy, Forgot About Dre, Yeah, Bennie & the Jets, Dream On, Fortunate Son, Rich Girl
You only know 4 of those?

Well, there are 6 or 7 that have been around a long time,
we got Elton John, CCR, Aerosmith, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, even Boyz to Men.
And if it is a cultural thing Cody Jinks, Chris Stapleton, Zach Bryan, and Luke Combs are on there too.
And most of us have heard the Eminem and Drake stuff even though we dont know the names.

A testament to how good music was in the 70s 80s in that several were chosen by 18 and 19 year olds.

I will be the weird one here, I am sure....but why the obsession with the walkup songs? What am I missing?

Gives us something to talk about for the next 8 days.
And since we will hear the songs all year when the players come up to bat/pitch, it’s interesting to get a head’s up on what songs will be fun to listen to.

True, my 10year old picked Kiss-Heavens on Fire for his walk up song...

If you strike out... your next "walkup song" should be the sound of a record being scratched as the needle is being dragged across it. And stay like that until your azz gets a hit.

Gage Jump walking out to Jumpman is awesome

I have no idea how you only know four songs from this list...

I mean if someone doesn't listen to music at all, that's fine, just say that.
If you don't listen to rap, that's understandable. If you don't listen to country, that makes sense too. But if you were born before 2000, you should easily know more than four songs on this list... Even if you're on the older side, you should at least know these five: Stairway to Heaven, Bennie & the Jets, Dream On, Fortunate Son, Rich Girl

Nope. The perfect walk up after a strike out:
Rock and a hard place
