LSU declines NIT bid

With a record 14 SEC teams earning NCAA bids, that left only LSU and South Carolina available for the NIT. South Carolina also declined their NIT bid. LSU finishes the season 14-18 (3-15 SEC).

South Carolina declined too, so both teams that didn't make NCAA tournament decided to throw in the towel.

Don’t you get more practices and a home game? The sec forced the NIT to automatically take 2 teams and both declined.

I know many on here think that’s the right move. I don’t. I would have liked to watch them again. I don’t care if they lost, it would have been another chance to see my favorite team play (no matter how bad they are).

Considering most of the team is hitting the portal, not surprised. Idc how much money LSU thinks they can throw at guys and get them to flip.. no one is coming here until we prove that we can be competitive.

They play on Tuesday or Wednesday so an extra paractice doesn't help anything.
