I wish they still made clothing with the 1984-1997 script logo. It was much more classy, academic, and... normal. I'm ashamed to wear anything with the current script logos because it makes it look like I went to a clown distance learning institution that was founded 10 years ago, as opposed to one of the largest, oldest universities in the country.
If anyone in LSU's marketing/intellectual property offices reads this, please fricking bring this logo back. Not saying you have to get rid of the clown logos, but I at least want a normal looking alternative. Pisses me off to no end that 99% of the products you guys sell look like they were made for children.
Seriously, just make a white polo with a small gold or purple version of the old script logo on the upper left chest. Maybe a hat. I might not even mind it if you put the old script logo next to a small drawing of Memorial Tower. Just give me something with a presentable, tasteful looking font. I'm tired of owning nothing I can wear proudly to represent my school.
Oh, and the current "primary" Tiger logos look like they were stolen from the front of a box of sugary kid's cereal. I think that's a fine look for our athletic teams, but I'm not rocking anything that looks like that on a golf course with business colleagues who went to Yale, UVA, etc.

My wife is pregnant with our first child. Found out this past week that we are having a boy. Been buying stuff to decorate his room with and all I buy is either vintage or tiger eye stuff. It's hard to find though.

I like the script logo as well. Check out how terrible the logos were for Florida. Brought back memories there.

This, the tiger head (currently on our helmets) is awesome but I like the Geaux font better.

Solid. I have a hoodie with the "beanie tiger" design on it. The other day I saw a car with that logo on it but it said Auburn. Who stole that from whom?

Lots of schools have that sailor logo. Auburn, pacific, princeton, cal, michigan, etc....
