Pitching

ERA: 4.41
SEC average: 5.98

Strikeouts thrown per game: 11.46
SEC average: 9.98
LSU rank: 1st

Summary:

Pitching/defense is tied with Arkansas for 2nd.
Hitting/offense is 8th mainly due to middle of the pack slugging and hitting with RISP.
Ideal improvement in team performance is to hit more often and with more power with RISP and to limit the walks pitching.
How that is done is what the coaches need to determine (who to put in hitting lineup and who to pitch).

Yea we still need to get Sunday figured out, but pitching on the whole being the strength of this team so far is actually quite reassuring.

We know the talent is there in the lineup. This must be the week where they wake up and put the two pieces together

Thank you

It is calculated as RBI / Opportunities. In LSU's case they have had 50 opportunities with a runner on 3rd and < 2 out and have had 29 RBI.
