Making all the wrong moves tonight.

Aside from Cowan and Evans, we just can get this bullpen to deliver.

We had a bad bullpen late in 2023 but finally Ak-Ak and one or two others finally stepped up. All our mid relievers right now are freshmen Scmidt, Rizzy, Williams. Shores is just a spazz can't control it.

You can't go to evans down 1. You burn him tonight and that limits you tomorrow. He's playing for 2 wins.
Let's face it, JJ knows we're not going to score a lot of runs right now. He's trying to save pitching. Playing it like a super regional.

Agreed. The problem was if you were going to use Shores tonight don’t wait till the bases are loaded and you’ve used 2 other pitchers to do it.
Bring him in in a descent situation so the flyball doesn’t get the additional run in that inning.
Also. When the Tenn pitcher is throwing meatballs, let your hitters swing at first pitch fastballs over the middle of the plate.

It’s unfortunate but shores just hasn’t panned out. Maybe he will surprise us and have one of those outings in a must win game that we can talk about for years to come

Yes you can dipshit, in hopes he shuts Tennessee down and keeps the momentum with LSU. If we tie or go ahead you keep pitching him, if not then you can still pull him. MLB teams do that all the time.

Shores pitched great and should’ve only been used one inning. He was brought in because he has elite stuff to get strikeouts and double plays. He should never seen another inning.
