Matching number fonts on uniforms for different sports

While watching the supers this weekend, I noticed that TCU baseball and football use matching fonts. Checked it out, and basketball uses it, too. Let me say that I hate the current football number font. It is identical to Ole Miss's and color scheme is the only thing that separates the two. I'd love to see LSU do something like TCU with this, without messing up perceived "tradition" in the process. What do you think? (couldn't find image for baseball, but it looks like that, duh)

But they also changed simultaneously. Lazy Nike.

LSU sports will always have mismatching fonts. The university is big on branding these days and push the straight-lined LSU in geaux font. But the football helmet will never change, and baseball will always have the interlocking LSU.

Check it, Sally. NUMBER font.

Our baseball jersey font and football jersey fonts look pretty damn close to me (aside from colors).
Tons of teams have this same font besides Ole Miss.
If it aint broke dont fix it.

If always started last year, then yes. Always

They changed the basketball jersey number font this past year to more traditional block numbers from the geaux font and it was an improvement fwiw

Really?
I've been watching LSU football for 45 years, and the jersey font was the same all that time.
Then last year, they changed it (and it looks hideous, by the way).
So no, not always.

i meant LSU has always had the same jersey template as Ole Miss, which is why i quoted what i did

Same here, I didn't think much of it because it's just the numbers, but it subconsciously bugs the shite out of me.

Isn't it the same font just made slightly smaller and thicker?
ETA: I'm pretty sure that if they would've kept the skinnier font it would look dumb being smaller and tighter. The font had to change because the stripes go to the armpit now. (Which looks much better)

Idk, the new numbers just look like they are trying too hard. If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

UL has matching font too for all sports. But i dont care for the font too much but I love the fit of the jerseys much better instead of the baggier look for football.
