Was anyone contacted for new baseball season tickets? Or contacted for upgrading seats?

I have season tickets. I am just curious how many philanthropic points it is going to take this year for new season ticket buyers for single seats and for multiple seats.

YES, I know the renewal rate is very high and there are very few season tickets available (especially for 2 plus seats)

I've been on the waiting list for ten years and haven't gotten any. I've been told I need to make a $2,000 donation to be considered. Crazy.

I'm not doing that, nor sitting in the diamond deck either so I guess I will never get any.

Renewal in the grandstands have been 100% the last 5 years. The alumni association and TAF have a block of seats they sell to high rollers. A friend of my dads was able to buy seats behind home plate last year from the alumni association but he donates 6 figures a year.

Does anyone know when they are letting you know if you were accepted for season tickets or when the email will go out for you to purchase the ticket package before individual tickets go out to the public?

Honestly, new people aren’t getting them. Existing ticket holders will buy them up for resale due to existing priority status or TAF will just hold back a ton especially the premium seating.

The demand for the box is probably 2-3x seating capacity. I would like to know how big the waiting list is right now. I’ve been on it for over 5 years.

If you haven't gotten a call by now, you're likely not getting a call. Typically, season tickets go out next week for baseball (1-2 weeks before season).

I'm blown away that some have been on a waiting list for 10 years.

$2,000 donation, that sounds much better than what they told me I had to pay to get a better shot at season tickets. I’ve been on waiting list about 10 years as well. By the time I’m priority on the list I won’t be able to walk up the bleachers.

Its certainly way more than this. If it was this cheap everyone would have them

Good info, I'll stop wasting my time every year with that list.

I think I'm somewhere in the 5000's and never even get a call. I'm also pretty positive it would take WAY more than $2000 to move up anywhere near 1496.

Probably better off buying second hand versus donating what it would take to move up. Season tickets are for people who got in years ago or rich folk. I ain't either one.

1496 to get a single season ticket or a pair? I was thinking to get just 1 season ticket it would be lower

that is crazy, I guess I will have to keep my tickets because if I don't renew I will never have enough points to get them again

Holy smokes. I got mine when they moved to new Alex box and I'm glad I did it then. I think there is so little turnover for a few reasons, granted demand has always been there.

1) The tickets are dirt cheap, or they used to be. My Left field seats were 400 for two with no TAF fees 15 years ago. Now they are almost 700 with fees.

2) Football tickets are outrageous. My corner endzone tickets which I think are comparable in location to my baseball tickets are 2.1x the price for what is typically 4 SEC games (3 of which are good in a good year) and 3-4 garbage games.

3) CJJ has fans excited and talent is pouring into the SEC thanks to NIL

4) Grandstand tickets in particular, I know of a couple of people who have family tickets that are 10+ in number in the grandstand, they were so cheap for so long, people had no reason to give them up. I knew this for football too, but with rising prices came people giving them up. I expect the same as I think prices for baseball will start to rise now.

Same, and I never donated a penny before that. I'll keep them forever.

Almost the same for me, got them in 2007 and will keep them forever, however, I picked my seats in 2009 based on their front row location and they have screwed me by adding the field boxes where the LSU bullpens were. They didn't give us a heads up or option to relocate, just threw people in front of us. That's the way it works with a decade long waiting list, we can be easily replaced so we can be treated like shite!
