I don't think anybody had that on their dance card.

Someone said they want Skenes on Friday, Shores on Sunday and Hurd midweek so he’s good to go midweek against Texas.

Hunt Palmer hinted at Cooper possibly starting this weekend but that was in place of Shores. EVERYONE assumed Hurd had a weekend spot locked

Yea I think it’s obvious the want Hurd vs TX. But glad they included Shores, he deserves it. He’s been better than Floyd

Some people have been saying this for a couple of days on Moscona's chat and he couldn't believe it. Kind of funny to see it actually happen.

The idea of getting Hurd in line to face Texas is actually a good one if true.

Guessing Saturday is a Cooper/Floyd piggyback game? Or will Floyd maybe move to closer since Taylor is done?

The biggest surprise is Cooper as a weekend starter...not Shores in place of Hurd.

Maybe I haven't been listening to the right people, but I haven't heard anyone mention Cooper as a weekend starter.

Love Cooper by the way. Just figured he would be used differently...and maybe as the season goes along he will be.

I'm sure you may know this by now, but she also tweeted this.

Johnson said that they’re going to start working toward training Gavin Guidry to pitch #LSU

Thought you'd like that.

I feel as if Cooper is in place of Hurd. Not Shores. Shores may be there to stay provided he produces. Once we're done with the Texas game, I think Hurd slides into the rotation and Cooper goes back to long relief.

Cooper was solid last year, and his feminine hair flip after every pitch was funny.

That's also my assumption, but we'll see. I think things could always change depending how they look.

Moscona predicted this the other day, aka was told this ahead of time, and said Hurd will be midweek to get ready for the Texas game then move into the weekend

Very possible.

What's got everybody so excited about Hurd vs Texas? Am I missing something?

I figured LSU would start Hurd this weekend and Shores vs Texas given he's a Texas kid.

Did he pitch against them before and dominate them or something? He's got a little more experience than Shores, but what...like 6 actual starts in his career?

No chance there’s something wrong with Hurd?

He definitely did not believe it initially. He kept saying he would be shocked. He must have made some calls.

I think getting Hurd in line to pitch against Texas is really smart.

To quote every meeting for the last 3 years, "it's a fluid situation".
