But I want to see this added to the line up of combinations

1958 Throwbacks but should be improved. To make them compete don't stop with the helmets. Go back to the full shoulder stripes and move the TV numbers from the sleeve to the shoulders on these jerseys.

Add the Bert Jones Era helmet logo to the lineup as well and keep it with the gray facemask.

Just break the 1958 and early 70's uniforms out once every couple of years. The white helmet purple jersey white pants look should be a part of the regular line up. once a year. I like our classic purple jersey look but not for every none conference home game. Break them out once a year for a big SEC game.

I'm Gold helmets only also.
The Purple over White & White lids shown would be good with me only because I find it the lesser of many evils.

Honestly loved the all whites.
Agree the white/purple/white is clean and I like seeing it. But I wish we pulled out the all whites once a year.

Many of these other schools have "black out" games.
I wish we would have a purple out games, where the team wore purple jerseys and all the fans wore purple.

I had made a thread here on Rant few months ago. I have the game used Fred Booker helmet from LSU vs. Notre Dame Indy bowl 98. I tried to get in touch w/ him through social media but he doesn't reply. If anyone is interested, let me know. I want to get rid of it.

IMO we should adopt them for all uniforms (without changing the current helmet logo), but if we could only use them for one alternate I think they'd look super clean with the white/purple/white.

ETA: Is it "gray" or "grey?"

Anything but Gh+Wj+Gp (Gold helmet + White jersey + Gold pants) and Gh+Pj+Gp DO look like Oregon's gimmicky uniforms.

All you "Fashion Designers" please post photos of Alabama's "Alternate" uniforms. Post photos of Notre Dames "Alternate" Uniforms. Post photos of any Traditional College Football Power that wear "Alternates" every season.

Alternate uniforms are for LOSER PROGRAMS that have no history and need that kind of BS to promote and/or provide some kind motivation to the team members.

It's totally ridiculous and we should not and do not need that kind of "Artificial Fashion Inspiration" at Louisiana State University!

We have one of the most historically recognized and best looking uniforms in College football. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Break out the "All Whites" or the "Opposite" Wh+Gj+Wp every 5 years or so, but keep the "Once A Year Circus Clown Alternates" off the PIMger Stadium turf!

we have too many good alternatives to still wear that awful purple jersey/yellow pants combo

I like the look but the stripes on the helmet, jersey, and pants need to match. You can tell that the pants and helmet are new and the jersey just remained the same.
