Weekly article by Hunt Palmer. I would suggest reading Hunt's article if you care, as he goes into more detail of the 10 grades given here. If you don't care for PFF, you can skip this thread.

Emery Jones, RT – 76.5
Miles Frazier, RG – 71.6

LOWEST GRADES

Major Burns, S – 42.4
Greg Penn, LB – 46.8

I don't always agree with PFF, but boy, did this show up Saturday night.

Right through the middle of the defense.

There has to be accountability at the safety spot. Kylin Jackson, Toviano, and Spears need more snaps.

2 OL and 2 S tell the tale. Hard to win when OL sucks and S can’t tackle.

Spears and Toviano have been getting a few, but you are right. It’s time to move on from Burns and Ryan. They played as well as they are capable vs Ole Miss, but it’s been a hard downhill back to reality since.

AGREE! Those DEF grades & those of the entire left side of the OL are PROFOUND. IRT the DEF upperclassmen, it falls under the insanity definition, 'doing the same thing (in this case with the same players) and expecting different results'. We must be better than this.

A tip of the cap to the right side of the OL. They’ve been getting shite on all season (often justified) and had a decent game vs a tough DL.

Feel like he's been running his mouth too much in hype videos instead focusing on his game.

He's looked like a dumpster fire in the last two games, although I don't think he's looked great all year for a potential #1 OT. Seeing him down towards the #4 OT right now on some early draft boards.

Brian Kelly will never ever bench Major Burns despite 3 years of fricking HORRENDOUS play. He's arguably the worst safety since Saban arrived on campus.

I would literally take Karnell Hatcher and Danny McCray over him

outside the really bad holding penalty I find it really hard to believe Will Campbell had a worse game than DJ Chester.

Penn dominates slower competition. Against fast teams it's the same story over and over. We need more speed at LB.

There are maybe two or three good players on defense.

He is good for an important drop every game. I don’t know if the game would have changed if he hadn’t dropped that touchdown, but it would have possibly helped with momentum at the time. Lacy is a huge momentum killer. His drops always seem to be at the worst times.

It's becoming clearer that Daniels made an average OL look all-world because of how good he was.

The strategy last year for the OL was seemingly "contain your guy for 2 seconds, then make sure you let go of him and don't run down field because Daniels has likely left the pocket already. He still might throw it deep."

BK can bemoan the roster cards he's dealt all he wants but this one is self inflicted. How have you not upgraded this obvious weakness going on 3 years now?
