The pitchers are unable to throw strikes in clutch moments. How many times last night was it 2 outs, 2 strikes and then either a bad walk or giving up hits? The pitchers need to step up.

The TN guys made LSU swing and ground out or bad pop ups to limited pitches.
The Tenn batters worked every pitch count as they knew LSU doesn’t really have a bull pen

This team struggled at the plate usually if you hit 3 homers you win or definitely have more than 3 runs. The bunts with 2 outs even though the 3rd baseline was open was not executed well. Not a fan of bunting with 2 outs.

Tennessee had a great scouting report on all of LSUs batters and their pitchers have executed. LSU relief pitcher absolutely imploded last night. Poor kid knew it to. LSU has hung in there for 15/18 innings against a more experienced team. Hoping for some dominant pitching today and stealing another game from them.

Every LSU batter is trying to swing a little harder, pull the ball etc. They are pressed while Tennessee is working the pitcher knowing LSU pitching is very thin.
Who is pitching today as Shores was supposed too? Will it be 7 guys doing an inning a piece or ?

not sure how many unearned runs we have given up this weekend from walks but know its alot. no telling how many runs TN would have this weekend so far if they had gotten a few hits at clutch moments. they showed TN's RISP ratio and it wasnt good at all. walking in runs is totally unacceptable at college level i feel like im watching first season of kid pitch all over again. hopefully they can start throwing more strikes and bats come alive today there is nobody i want to take a series from more than these TN.

i stand corrected, you are right just looked. it seemed like we were just walking them in but i guess not. walks just drive me crazy and seemed like we walked too many in but TN was getting some well timed hits after couple walks. last night it was 9 ER off 11 hits.

We did walk too many.

But walks on their own don’t lead to unearned runs.

Unearned runs come from errors not walks.

Think that’s going to depend on if the bats can get a couple hits before the 6th inning and stay in the game.
But it’s going to be some combination of Ware, Evans, and Cowan

Bear missing that grounder cost us two runs there,.. then a home run- so basically 5 runs...
