early in that inning the triple to center could have been caught and the ball to right field that was “dove” for and missed could have been caught.

They weren’t easy plays, but both of those balls should be caught by good outfielders.

Kling > brown in the field and neither can hit

I think Kling makes both those plays. Unfortunately, he's an automatic out right now.

Most teams will take the glove over the bat. Most MLB centerfielders cannot hit. It's rare to find one can. So I would go with Kling and just assume a out. Larson is a freshman playing out of position because lack of hitting.
