Pre game warmups

This is a sign of a good coach. Kentucky spent the whole warmup period shooting. LSU did some shooting but a majority of the warmup was spent focusing on perimeter defense and rotation on the ball . Mcmahon was already putting in their minds that defense was the key. I'm not sure I have ever seen that in pregame warmups before. That's what you call bringing a mindset to the game. That was Ward and Reeds best defensive game so far. And that mindset bled over into the offense. They were the more physical team. They outrebounded Ky and only had 3 TO in second half. THREE! From a team that was a TO machine earlier in the year. Anyone saying Mcmahon can't coach or develop players knows nothing about coaching or basketball.

If you go to any of their games, they do the SAME ROUTINE for each and every one of 'em

How did these pregame warmups workout for them the rest of the season?

I went to the LSU game at VCU a few years back. Coach Heiar was working the bigs HARD running through drills post moves etc... about 90 minutes before the game. They had shoot around, layup line also.
I would hope any quality HC and staff would work on fundamentals before a game as well as getting used to the arena by shooting.

You have 70 min to warm up for a college game. Not to mention a game day practice.
Did you see all 70 min?

They won, but they still need to stop with the lazy passes or catch the with both hands or both, LOL.

I'm talking about the last pregame warmup before tip off. As I said KY strictly shot. LSU worked on defense. I don't know what they did earlier and I don't care. The last thing LSU did was defense. That is a coach sending a message and creating a mindset. I didn't say he was the only one who does it. LSU was focused for all but the last 2 minutes of the first half and the first minute of the second half. And that mentality is what provided the comeback from 15 points down.

Moving forward I think he should slow it down right before half if we have a lead and let some clock run down. We were up by 1 or tied with like 1:30 to go and UK turned it around and was up 7-9 pts in a blink of an eye.
