Retired numbers

Tommy Casanova's #37 was retired, right? Why then are 2 players (Hunter Faust, R.J. Williams) currently wearing it?

No one wears Cannon's #20.

Tommy Casanova and Jerry Stovall are recognized in the stadium, but 20 is retired.

#20 is the only “number” retired. No one will ever wear it again. Stovall and Casanova have their “jersey” retired, but players can still wear the number.

It’s funny, #9 seems to be unofficially retired, as no one has worn it since Joe, and 9 is a prime number.

Retiring numbers is stupid. Just retire the player jersey
