Another weird post slobbing on the knob of the SAME LSU player you can’t stop thinking about. Can you either become an Auburn fan or take this to their board? How many of these posts do we need?

There will be some box scores that say 5 IP 10 H 6 ER 1 BB 2 K though.
Update: 6 weeks into SEC and this hasn't happened yet. He's only allowed 12 ERs in conference play with a 3.09 ERA. To be fair, I would have agreed with you when you posed this last month.

Yeah he's obviously gotten better. I'm still not getting behind the Auburn, or Dutton, hype train though. Maybe I'm still stuck in the past, and he really is legit, but not much about him screams Friday night SEC stuff (although that's been kind of proven wrong up to this point).

I still remember that changeup he had his freshman year.

Yeah. I was a doubter too, but he's been doing really well. If you are looking at just SEC stats, he's second in the league in ERA out of all qualified pitchers which is crazy to think about. Riojas has a 2.97 and Dutton is at 3.09 ERA. It's not like he's had an easy road: Vandy, KY, UGA, Bama, LSU, & Texas. The wheels may fall apart, but I'm happy he's doing well.... I just wish it wasn't at Auburn.
I honestly thought Aiden Moffet would be the transfer with the most potential, but he's barely seeing the field at Texas.

Boy could we have used Dutton this year. You never know and a few of the guys we gained look great and have done well but many have not looked good. Who knows maybe next year it will click for a few of these guys.

It’s apparent to me that throwing 95 plus, is not the key to pitching. We have a stable full of flame throwers.
The key is learning how to pitch and commanding your pitches. If you can throw 91, locate that fastball, conf back with a good breaking ball and a good change, you can pitch in the SEC and do very well.

Pretty obvious example of what aubie has as a Pitching Coach vs what LSU has. Taking a guy that can't get anything more than mopup duty at LSU to the Ace in one year on a team that sweeps LSU is a major change.
