Saw where Alex Milazzo was on Mic’ed Up the other day. What is he doing now?

Really enjoyed watching him play. One of my all time favorite players.

I really would have thought he would have transitioned into a volunteer coach on the team and start his coaching career. He might still be planning on doing that eventually

I listened to that interview yesterday morning while waiting for the game to start. He actually addressed a fan question about this. He basically said it's not off the table, but he wants a break. I suspect he knows a coach (esp one on a guy like CJJ staff) has to grind his arse off almost all year and he just wants to dick off for a little while before getting into something like that. That's just my speculation though.

Seems like he lost his work ethic and competitive desire.

I expect that out of guys retiring in their 50s before considering a later in life career change. Not out of a 24 year old kid who just graduated from college

He's probably been living breathing baseball every day for the last 10 years of his life. I can't fault the guy for wanting to get to live a little life outside of that for a bit.

He’s not interested in coaching , would rather hunt and fish and college baseball assistants don’t have time for any of that.
