Yes, losing the Texas series was disappointing. But at least LSU isn't a preseason top 10 team that is now a laughing stock bottom dweller in the SEC, digging what could be an insurmountable hole.
Texas A&M:
0-6 in SEC play and under .500 overall. Struck out 49 times this weekend and were 2-for-23 with RISP.
Florida:
0-6 in SEC play for the first time under O'Sullivan. Swept in consecutive SEC series for the first time in 24 years. Have been run-ruled twice.

People forget we started terrible last season. Lots of naysayers but we almost made it to Omaha. We have a young unproven staff that will take some lumps in the grind of the toughest conference in baseball by far. Cream rises to the top. I can’t think of anyone else that I would want to lead this team except Jay.

In his first 11 years at Florida, Sully had a losing conference record only 1 time.
In his past 5 years, he's had 2 losing records and 1 .500 season.

The meltdowns over a conference series loss in March are wild. Most folks expected double digit losses in conference
