When they were 24- 0 and all the Softball MA's were up in here squirting in their panties, I just said. "Wait until the SEC schedule starts. Things will return to normal for the Fighting Torinama's."

I agree. Why spend the money if you don’t want the best? Where competitive now but when OK gets here are we just going to take those arse whippings every yr. I hope not.

I know the Oklahoma state coach is an OSU alum, but things won’t be the same the Big 10 and SEC separate themselves further financially. You absolutely make him say no first.
You can’t just pay her a top five salary and always be content with this. At some point LSU should grow a sack and move on.
You seriously think there aren’t better coaches licking their chops with our facilities and resources? Tell Beth to overhaul this bullshite or gtfo, this isn’t complicated. Obviously some 42-17 regional final season isn’t a smoking gun to fire her, but she’s knocking on the door of taking this program another step back.
We went from consistent WCWS team (she inherited a great situation) to a super regional team to a regional team to what next? We aren’t going to be better next season…or shite maybe we will if we’re actually well coached

Agree with all that..changes to the program need to be made!! I think you meant to say Gajewski is a OU grad, played baseball and won a natty with Walton. He would be the top choice imo then a sleeper pick that would be huge is Marissa Young, outstanding coach. I still don’t think BT gets fired, I think it’s more likely she takes another gig which is a win for her and probably the program. 12 years is a long time and change sometimes reinvigorates both

Oopsie hehe I thought he was a cowboy. Well, he’s the best big name conventional wisdom says we can pick up.
Still, there are names that would probably shock us with our budget, facilities, and Woodward head hunting. I bet Loni Alameda is sweating with Florida State in limbo with conference realignment. Plus FSU is notoriously cheap compared to LSU.

It’s been very difficult watching this team the past few weeks. I don’t understand not having a player that can fill the third base position besides three true freshman that have never played the position. I don’t understand not having a pinch hitter in critical situations. 1st and 2nd nobody out and your AllAmerican can’t advance the runners. Sorry but most of these issues are on the coach. Players have to execute but coaching matters!! WBB is the perfect example.

My problem with “it’s the coach always mantra” were the coaches great when it was 24-0? Same coaches however for most of those Coffey was in the lineup. Was Dobson great when Pleasants was hitting .388 in non conference? Does Dobson get credit for Rayleen G , Redoutey and Petty all having better yrs? Who is at fault when Pleasants mishandled a simple toss to 2nd base? Certainly coaches recruit, develop and the biggest things is set the standard and culture and hold players accountable. I have said on here many times Leftwich recruiting has brought this program down so for that Beth is at fault. The bad culture and and not holding kids to a standard is definitely coaching but Pleasants not advancing the runner from 2nd to 3rd with no outs is taught in 5th grade..that’s on the player.

Give Courtney Deifel LSU’s and Scott Woodward’s resources and budget and she’ll take this team to the WCWS more often than not.

Critical when warranted but not everything is always the coaches fault all the time. Sometimes players are at fault like errors, mental errors, attitude. I have always said Scott W will go after a high profile coach, that’s what he does. Sorry hard for you to comprehend..btw, she makes just as much as Torina( actually slightly more)and has an equal playing facility and resources at Arkansas. Where did I say no good coach will come here? I said certain ones won’t and those are just facts, not everyone thinks LSU is the greatest thing on earth, get your goggles off buddy
