I can’t tell if this is because I’m too old or too young lol
When was there a bowling alley in the Union.
It either didn’t last very long or has been gone for over a decade bruh

There was a bowling alley in the Union in the mid 90s.

I haven't seen the bowling alley since the early 2000's. If i had to guess it went away around the time the union was renovated or even before that.

It was a big part of the student union when I was a freshman in 1972. But then again, I haven't lived in Baton Rouge since 1986, so I don't know.

The thin crust pizzas at the bowling alley in the early 2000s were legit.

Where was the bowling alley located?

Was there when I was in school 03-08. Had an arcade as well.

On the bottom floor, around the stairs.
They closed the bowling alley when they did the big renovation of the Union years ago. Which is a shame, because bowling is cheap and fun and one of those things that goes in and out of fashion.

For the really old timers, was there ever a time when the Union seemed nice? Same goes for Middleton. Those buildings are such embarrassments now and have been for generations.

I entered LSU in 1064 and I think that may have been the first year it was open. It was very nice imo. I ate a lot of meals there and made a lot of Sunday night phone calls from the pay telephone room. Just my opinion though.
