If I don't want to pay for a metered spot, where would be best to park?

Or is anywhere fair game right now? I assume summer session for students is done.

There's a place right on the west side of the stadium..its not really metered, but it was a little more than $3, but it was good for 12 hrs

Assuming you’re referring to the 12-15 spots between AD building and Lawton Room/stadium. Those are usually my go to spots whenever I’d have to go into either building.

They let you park right outside of the Lawton room for free. As the previous poster indicated, it is between the stadium and the football Ops building.

The tour was pretty good as you tour the entire building in and around the Lawton room, the Jeff Boss equipment area and the stadium locker room where the teams dress before the games and meet during halftime. The “new high tech” locker rooms with the pods are not part of this tour. I assume those are across the street in the ponderosa practice facility. After walking around inside and taking pix of the trophies, NFL alumni etc, you hit the WIN Bar and walk out onto the field in one end zone. It was a blast to see everything behind the scenes so to speak.

I went and parked in one of the metered spots by the entrance to the Lawton Room. Pretty sure 90% of the people who parked there at the time didn’t pay and nobody said anything

And the old man giving the tour asked for me to show him my phone so he could at least act like he was looking at tickets.

I seem to remember that we got an email from LSU when we registered that tells you where you can park. They gave us a specific section to park in, right outside of the Lawton room. The tour begins in the Lawton room with a brief video.

Guests can park at the metered spaces located on West Stadium Drive outside the Bill Lawton Room as well as the metered spaces in Lot 401.

Agreed—really great to see all the stuff we see in hype videos, and hitting the win bar is pretty cool.

I gotta say, though…one thing that was a little disappointing—the tour guide got a few facts wrong. She said Herman Johnson played under DiNardo…uh, no.

Never planned to go; cooler things to do than sniff stinky locker rooms.
