If you have not bought basketball tix yet, get them. Will Wade was awesome. Great energy and worked the room great. We may not be great next year but we will be fun to watch and play with lots more passion and discipline.
Coach O was great as well and brought the high energy that you'd expect. He was also really funny and brought my confidence level way up. He is gonna lock down the state in recruiting and if he finds a QB this year, watch out.

I can confirm this as well. The guy absolutely blew it out the water. He literally reminds me of a highly paid motivational speaker.

He is highly detailed. He said everything they do is scored, and u either win or lose. They check their sleep, nutrition, academics, weight, and they are scored. They are broken up into teams highest grade point average wins, everyone else loses. The same goes with sleep and nutrition monitoring.

Coach O also said Dave Aranda is the smartest coach he's been around. When they got back from Christmas break coach Aranda wanted to go over a couple of things with Coach O. Aranda broke out 28 pages on notes he had written on stopping Louisvilles offense.

He talked a lot about discipline and paying attention to little things. He inferred how lazy the habits are from the prior staff.
He said we will foul often and early. He was kinda joking but was speaking to being more aggressive and playing with discipline. He said if we make it our style, then the refs won't call fouls as often.
He just has incredible energy and passion and talked about winning sec and building a program that competes for championships every year.

thanks for the recap. I'm really on board with Wade. I think he's going to do some great things here.
I agree, has incredible energy.

I thought they dropped Jackson. Great, I can go to it from Tupelo. I used to go to Monroe or Baton Rouge for about 20 years before having to move. Thanks for the info.

Legit - not sure why they aren't doing Monroe this year. Thought they usually had one in Houston also?

Also something to note.

That would be f'ing stupid. Gymnastics is already filling it up. Basketball will get better crowds in time.

I think it's a great idea but people will still bitch. Bring the seats in closer, add suites, club areas, redo how you get in, concourses, etc.

Lose seats, improve quality.

I'm sure his new basketball coach hell bent on changing the culture is pumped to hear this.

I met and talked to coach wade for a few minutes at boo williams eybl last month. Wait and see, this guy will revive LSU hoops like saban revived fb. Now keep in mind it is a LOT HARDER to win march madness than the college fb playoff, but we are gonna be THRILLED with what coach wade does on the bayou.

Was disappointed the tour skipped Alexandria this year and last. Local organizer told me there are as many a 10 venues planned for the Tiger Tour and that some will be every other year.
