Hey team- taking my family (wife and 3 young tiger fans) to the Plains to catch some LSU baseball. Is anyone familiar with the ballpark and overall experience there?

If anyone has lunch/dinner/tailgate recommendations I would be much obliged!

Auburn is a great town to visit. I like eating at The Hound.

I’m not sure about the baseball experience but their football experience is arguably one of the best in the country.

Try Bow and Arrow. It’s on E. Samford. I’ve only had lunch there but good.

Go to the little deck bar down the first base line, watch the game from there in the shade, and get a drink while you watch.

It is probably great in person. Night games on TV look super dark in that stadium. As if they don’t have proper lighting.

Bahaha yes as I came back for responses I thought "shite this isn't a teams message!"

Appreciate the responses so far! Should be beautiful this weekend. If any fellow tigers are tailgating we will come say hello!

I agree. The Hound is an excellent place to eat. I really like eating breakfast there. It is right smack in the middle of downtown Auburn.. There are a couple of parking decks which you will probably have to use. The parking deck next to the hound fills up quickly, but there’s a new one across the street- I believe it’s Gay Street. (that really is the name of the street).

Don't sit on the 3rd base side near Auburn's dugout. Student section is located there and they act like a bunch of plainsmen figs when LSU rolls into town.

We went in 2023 for the Friday night game (Skenes won).

We bought tickets along the 3rd base line where they have an open terrace area. We were able to bring our own tailgate chairs, found a spot for 3 of us down the 3rd base line in the outfield. The beer stand was close by, people around us were great.

Also went in 2022 for the football game. Both times we went the people were very friendly, ate at The Hound both times (bacon flight is great).

Cool college town. Stadium is small but lots of parking close by. Can even watch from the top of the parking deck. For high-end dining, Acre is the best but pricey. With kids try Niffer’s or Guthrie’s (where they stole the idea for Cane’s) Chewacla State Park worth a visit between games, with hiking trails and a big waterfall.

Auburn fans smell like Tater Tots. I hope that does not ruin your trip.

I've been twice for football and I'll never go back. This was during Tuberville's run and the fans back then were atrocious. that may have changed since then and the baseball fans may be better.

We have 4 of us going. We try to go to a new stadium each year.
Appreciate the post and saving food places now.

We got general admission for Friday (new sections this year) and section 110 for Saturday.
Shooting for Plainsman Patio down the first base line EARLY on Friday after New Realm Brewing visit on campus!

For those planning to attend the game Saturday - Auburn is having their Spring Game that same day as well. Expect a busy day on campus.

Also Saturday is the Auburn Rodeo (not on campus) This is a pretty big event that will bring many people into the area this weekend. Expect crowds at local restaurants, etc.
