USCe nicknames for Clemson

I've heard them called Taters. Back during the Enron bankruptcy, they were referring to them as Clemron. Any others?

What is a tater and what is a coot?

A coot is a small flightless bird.
A tater is a potato.
It comes from Clemson being an agriculture school, and a play on the IPTAY foundation. Which stands for I Pay Ten a Year or some shite like that I can't remember. Well SC fans changed it to "I Plant Taters All year".
I'm going off memory here but I'm pretty sure this is where it derived from.
I have no earthly idea where Clemson got coots from. Seems like "cocks" would give them enough ammo, but hey. Clemson.

Sounds like AU fans and corndogs..... I guess Clemson fans are just prissy barners.

They did steal all their traditions from Auburn.
It's on their school website.

Orange, Purple and the Tiger — The first “colors” of Clemson can be seen in an early diploma displayed on campus. But to everyone’s surprise, they’re red and blue! The orange and purple began when Walter Merritt Riggs formed Clemson’s first football team in 1896. Because Riggs had come from Agricultural and Mechanical College of Alabama (later renamed Auburn), he borrowed ideas from their team colors, orange and purple, and their mascot, the Tiger. Although the football team was known as the Tigers and often used “Eat ‘Em Up, Tigers” as a slogan, it wasn’t until 1954 that a Clemson student donned the mascot suit. In 1993, the Tiger was joined by the Tiger Cub.

Clemson fans are like even more self entitled than Ark fans. I have never seen a fan base claim so much but win so little. What was a significant Clemson victory in the BCS era?

I've always enjoyed being called a "tater". Makes the gamecock fanbase look that much more redneck.
And a coot is a useless, pathetic flightless bird. I've always just used the ammo they already gave us like cocks and chickens..not to mention cluckers and dirtpeckers.
Only things I've heard LSU called are corn dogs and LSwho. Don't know anymore.

Am I the only one seeing the irony in the Gamecock fan and the LSU fans saying how stupid the names Coots and corndogs are but then fervently call Auburn "Barners"?

Because Clemson University clearly orchestrated the Enron debacle

I think being called a corn dog is funny. When I went to ole miss a few years back they had a trap with a corn dog as bait. Thought it was hilarious.
As for the LSwho... that's just about the lamest insult that has survived in a long long time
