Anyone who has been there understands there is no quick fix for this place…squeezed in the middle and a glorified high school setup

Apparently it’s going to take somebody getting hurt before we get rid of the high school bullpens at LSU.

It's been like that forever and people have survived...it's the least of the issues at The Box.

So basically you don't really care about basketball in General, only your general.

You really think an Ole Miss coach is going to say. The Dude down at State is the best damn stadium in the country

What does that have to do with LSU being second best in the SEC?

No I care about basketball but with its current coach it doesn’t lead too much excitement while baseball is on a track that brings more national titles. I’d rather see us invest in the box if we had to choose but both need renovations badly.

Meh. I've been pretty vocal about the Box and things that need to be done, but I'd still take the Box over those renderings.

I just watched an Ole Miss coach rank AB second best in SEC

Because an opposing coach that visits the place for three days every two years as part of his job requirement has the same mindset as a fan spending his discretionary income to attend a dozen games a season.

This at least helps me now understand how you can compare Alex Box favorably to Dudy-Noble.

That ole miss coach played and coached here and his mentor built the current pile of crap we play in.

I’m sure Bianco also said swayze is number 1. It happens to be one of the ones that could be argued that is close to equal to the box.

The Dude and Baum are on a different tier.

Also that coach played and coached here plus the clear best stadium belongs to his biggest rival so he would never say it’s the best

The box is big. If you’re in the champions club, it’s really nice. The player’s have everything they could want. All good things.

But Vandy and Bama and A&M and Tennessee don’t need parks that hold 13k. Hell, the box couldn’t fill the seats for the majority of games this year and it’s one of the most talented teams in its history. But a 5-8k seat stadium with all seatbacks, grandstands and concourse that goes all the way down the lines, suites, berms, and home run decks… make it a better overall experience for every fan in attendance and not just the 800 that can pay to be purple seats.

As long as the box has the cheap arse metal bleacher look it won't be top 5.

But the old Jewish guy said it’s because they’re Magic……

People on here at like the Box is a total dump. It’s not, it’s an awesome venue.

We were the first baseball program to redo our stadium so naturally everyone else will follow suit, like they are. And of course as time moves along architecture and technology becomes more advanced.

It’s like getting a brand new car then complaining the following year or two your neighbor gets a newer version of the same car you got. Just another example of how spoiled our fan base is.
Point is that you can upgrade all you want but eventually someone else will come along with something else that’s more new and yours will no longer be the top.

Having said that, the Box could use some minor updating but to act like our stadium is a dump, or “behind” is laughable.

Literally no one said this. But you start your post off with it so you have something to argue against. You’re not fooling anyone.

This. Is. A. False. Narrative.

Over and over I have to remind people what Baum was before we built. What USCe did at the exact same time. The box wasn’t innovative even the day it was opened. Stop it.

After the renovations to Vandy's field, Alex Box will still be much better.

Vandy needs to work on their acoustics. I hear a faint whistle the whole game I attended.
