"Tantrum" is of uncertain etymology, but a derivation from "tantra" (the original meaning "to stretch, expand") can not be ruled out. The idea behind "tantrum" is a fit of rage without any clear justification.

Why are you complaining about fan? This is the RANT. It is the place created so fans can do the very thing you are whining like a bitch about.
Calm the frick down.
And the reality is that LSU fans are pretty freaking knowledgeable. They aren’t mad we lost to UCLA. They are upset because UCLA, while being very very good, played like crap. We just played even worse. It’s hard to watch your team play its worst game on the biggest stage of the year. It was there to take and we did not take it.

"Tantric" in this case, is an adjective meaning predisposed to having tantrums. If you can come up with a better adjective describing the same phenomenon, please let me know.
