Heard that it was a possibility and me and the wife might take this opportunity to go up to NY. I’ve always wanted to see a game in the garden!

LOL!

We'll know after the NCAA selection show if we get an auto bid. We won't know if LSU accepts it until later on Sunday.

But if your hopes to going to NY are dependent upon something that MM hasn't done in his career at LSU - beating 3 quality teams in a row - then I would make sure all reservations are refundable.

Please just let the pain go away. We would likely lose the first game

It was obviously most of the team didn't want to play the last blow out loss in the SEC tourney. You think those same guys want to go play San Francisco in the NIT?

Most of the team has likely already unenrolled from school

man, you could make a cheaper investment and buy many powerball tickets. At least, that may happen!

They're going to get invited to NIT unfortunately because of this new NIT-SEC agreement where the top two rated conference teams that didn't make the real tournament get auto bids to NIT.

Texas was on the bubble but beating Aggie yesterday will get them in. Which makes 14 out of 16 SEC teams making the tournament. And the only two left for NIT are bottom dwellers LSU and South Carolina.

If you think our team would make it to the Garden in the NIT you are delusional.

Do they still play any NIT games in Madison Square Park?

I believe MM will decline any postseason invitation that is given

It's questionable whether LSU will be invited at all to the NIT, even with the new parameter.

Joe Lunardi just stated that the SEC will likely receive 13 bids to the NCAA tourney, Texas being the last team in, via a play-in game for a #12 seed. Oklahoma is one of the first four out, and such they'll get one of the NIT bids. I would wager that South Carolina receives the other bid, based on Kenpom and Torvik, and also the likelihood they could fill up their Colonial Life Arena. Also, SC has an illustrious relationship with the NIT, winning it twice

If LSU is even considered for the NIT, it's a sign the once-proud tourney should be put out of it's misery.
