When it comes to national championships, most definitely. But State currently holds the head to head 213-184.

historically, State, although winning 13 of the last 14 series against them (including the 2017 super regional series) is getting a little ridiculous.
Florida is probably our other rival in baseball.

How’s the head to head been the last few years?

When it comes to the modern era of college baseball, LSU owns the series lead by A LOT. Skip owned State and Mainieri owns them even more. That's 35+ years worth of baseball.

Florida would be our rival in underwater basket weaving if we had a team.

ATM, because I live in the middle of them, and hate to lose to them in any sport. Their heads explode after 1 victory.

LSU has dominated. I just posted the all time, sorry that a factual record has you angry.

So should we just forget about all the other games?

No, we shouldn't completely forget about them, but when someone says LSU owns State, that's a true statement. I couldn't really care less about games played 80+ years ago. LSU has dominated State for a very long time now. This isn't a situation where they've had a nice 5 year run. We're talking about domination over 4 straight decades.

Tough question. So much quality in the conference that I am tempted to say "whole SEC". But, Ron Polk and Skip put SEC baseball on the map so gotta say they are the measuring stick. When they come to the Box we get overflow crowds, no? If biggest rival = most hate to lose to then that's Tulane.

For most sports it's Florida. LSU and Florida are the two deepest and most successful athletic departments in the SEC.

I agree. Seems no matter how good of a team we have in any sport they always give us a tight game. Even their down years in football.

State, Florida, Ole Miss, and Arkansas are our rivals in baseball. You could arguably put ULL there too
