Threw 110 innings in 17 starts. Averaging over 6 innings per start.
Held LSU in check in 2024 postseason. Why can’t we make this guy our Sunday starter? Or start him today and hope he can give us 5 or 6 innings and then hand the ball over to Evans for the 7th 8th and 9th?

LSU didn't face Cowan in the regional. But his presence in the dugout kept LSU in check in the 2/3 game.

If we can get 4-5 good innings before transitioning to Evans, I’d be happy with that

I think Ware gets the start with a very short leash.

Ware 1-2 innings

Cowan and Evans to hopefully go the rest of the game.

We have Anderson and Eyanson who are solid F and S starters.

if we have a lead and need 3-4 innings those games were going to throw Evans and Cowan.

thats just how jay operated and honestly it works. He held onto Evans and we lost the series to Texas.

But you have to feel pretty good having Evans and Cowan available game three in a 1-1 series.

Unfortunately you are probably right. Let’s just hope he doesn’t allow a few runs and we play the whole game behind. Our bats are not good enough right now to come back from allowing Ware to have a bad inning early. I’d like to see the best pitchers get out there and get out on top.

Im not disagreeing that Cowan could be a great starter for us but damn some of y’all have got to do one ounce of research before you make an entire post about something

It's a stretch to assume Cowan and Evans can get us 7+.

If Ware goes less than 2, we will be relying on someone worse than Ware later in the game IMO.

I would love to go 9 with Cowan and Evans. Ware scares me.

We need to score runs before the 6th inning today.

I’d bet Evans or Cowan starts and the other comes in relief with the hope those two can pitch 9 innings between them. There’s a reason neither pitched last night. I don’t think Jay fricks around. He’s not going to want to possibly allow early runs today with someone else

I think Evans can give you 3 to maybe 5.
Hopefully Cowan can give you 3-4

he gave us 3 last weekend after a short friday night pitching outing and that was the next day

Cowan was a starter last year and has gone 3, 4, 4, 4.2, and 3. Evans has gone 3.2, 4, and 3.1. They can easily get 7+ IP from them.

Not a stretch at all, lol. Cowan threw 13 pitches Friday. Evans is fresh and ready to go. Cowan’s ERA is under 2 and Evan’s is under 1.
