Ok, so it has been about two years since AACSB is not recognized by CHEA; however, many large state schools continue to only want AACSB accreditation for their business programs. Even without CHEA, is it still considered the "Gold Standard" for business programs? I know in Germany, they won't even look at an M.B.A graduate that is not AACSB. I guess my question is, "How important is CHEA in regards to program accreditation organizations like AACSB?" Second, "Does this mean ACBSP and IACB, the same business accreditation bodies that accredit Phoenix, Ashford etc., have more weight now?

I work at a university and have never heard of CHEA until now. I also work in a business school and can tell you AACSB standards are much more difficult than ACBSP standards. I say this because our school got rid of a lot of professors when we switched accreditation bodies.
