Anybody ever get an IRS 4883C form?

Letter states they received my return and I need to call to verify I filed it so they can process it. Called once and the recording stated it was too busy and to try another day. On hold now for an estimated 30 minutes to find out what they want.

Sounds like they are trying to verify your identity - which likely means (assumption/guess on my part) someone either tried to use or is using your ss#, or you had issues in the past with that.

I filed a few days late and apparently the prepayment of what I owed that I sent confused them. I had forgotten I even did a prepay and didn’t figure it out until after the call. Hope my confusion doesn’t mean they will throw my return in the “to be audited” stack. LOL
