FWIW, Fidelity is at 4.8%-4.9% with FDIC protection up to $5M.

Plenty of 5% options through Save Better custodial account. No minimums.

Thanks so much. Is this a savings account or money market account?

A lot. I don’t care to help out the global or NYC economy, nor line Jamie Dimon’s already flush pockets.

Bank local where you know the board and management. You can get the same tech these days, plus better service and keep your money locally invested in the community.

Ok but if the local banks can’t offer this rate what are you gonna do?
Just curios where is mortgage held?
Since I financed local about 5 years ago it been moved around a few times and it’s now with chase.

I did this one recently. Have all my main checking and saving for biz/personal but they harassed me enough to do the new high yield savings. I’m okay with it as long as my wife doesn’t see it and thinks she can spend it.

What’s that got to do with anything? A mortgage is just one debt instrument. It’s not Chase by the way.

And as we’ve seen lately, gathering deposits rank above making mortgage loans. Banks can typically turn the loan faucet on and off when needed.

You know there was a nickname created for someone who prioritizes yield above all else….it rhymes with rate whore.

I can't find anything about this savings account when logged into chase.com, unless I'm completely missing it.
