Chase bank: Transfer Money vs. Wire Money

Does anybody know the difference between the two? I'm trying to pay rent and set it up through transfer money but that seems like its for accounts under the same persons name but at two different banks. It looks like Wire Money is better for this sort of thing but I am not sure.
Any info on this is greatly appreciated. TIA

If the landlord has a Chase account then you can Quick Pay it for no fee. You just add them into your quick pay accounts and they get notification to accept the money. If the money is wired, they will charge a outgoing transfer fee.

You will probably get a better answer by calling or emailing their support team or maybe even a branch. That said, since you're paying rent, I'd suggest using Chase QuickPay or using the bill pay's Schedule Payment functionality to have Chase send checks automatically by a certain date each month to your landlord/lady.

I do it through Capital One, but my set up is what Omada mentioned. Capital One cuts a physical check and mails it to my landlord automatically every month. I have it set up to do the same for one of my student loans. Same result without the hassle of trying to set up a draw.

As the other person stated, chase quick pay is best if the other person also has chase. Wiring money is for between two different banks. You will get charged a fee of about $25 per wire.

As others have said...Chase Quick pay is the best especially sending funds to another Chase customer. No Fee and funds arrived same day. You can still Quick Pay to another bank, but it may not be immediate. Wiring will be arrive same day (but there's a cut time for same day), but it'll cost you.

How does that work? I didn't realize you could do this.

Just set up billpay and be done with it. Chase will mail a check to your landlord every month on the date you specify.
