I am at a point where I will have excess funds each month available for investment. Nothing exotic, I am thinking mostly dollar cost averaging into index funds.
What brokerages are you using for your investment and do you like them?
What are your favorite index funds/ETFs?

What is the pro of having the Schwab account and purchasing the vanguard funds?
Would I be better off just opening a vanguard account?

The Fidelity Contrafund went on a tear last year.

Didn’t start out that way. I had TD ameritrade and started out with various index ETFs. Then focused on the two above. TD then transferred to Schwab.

What are your transaction fees for VOO through Schwab? If anything other than $0, then SWTSX or SWPPX would be better.
Schwab Automatic Investing is great for index funds in a set it and forget it DCA. I would assume Fidelity or Vanguard have similar capabilities.

Is Fidelity a good brokerage to start with? I just want to buy a few stocks not looking for anything extravagant in terms of navigating the site just want something plain and simple to trade a few stocks.

I have this one in my IRA.
Fidelity is really easy to use and navigate. FSKAX is their total market index fund and makes up the vast majority of my portfolio
