Was supposed to have my eTrade forms today and instead they gave me a message that it won't be until March 7.

I don't like waiting that long to find out how much I need to pay. If another platform is going to give me the information without a delay, I'm interested in switching to them.

Schwab is saying Feb. 28th…

Kinda aggravating - TDAmeritrade was much quicker.

Fidelity made our 1099 forms available right at 2 weeks ago. They are pretty fast. They are always slow on IRA contribution form 5498. That always arrives in May, but you don't need that form to submit your taxes and I assume every financial company has to wait until May to provide 5498 forms.

I got my E-Trade 1099's last week.
Fidelity says my info won't be available until 2/22. They're waiting on interest income from a JPM CD

I got all my Fidelity tax forms by end of last week. It would have even been sooner but they were waiting on information from Vanguard.

Neighbor works for Fidelity. He said the IRS cracked down last year after some brokers sent out incorrect forms which forced some of their customers to refile their taxes. He said it may be slower; because they are laser focused on the forms being accurate.

Thanks. Makes sense.

You'd think they would be able to get it right and get it fast. They've known since December 31 how much I made in dividends and how much profit I made selling. I don't mess with anything fancy.

Many times it depends on what type of securities you own. Individual stocks are usually straightforward but if you own certain ETFs and mutual funds then the investment firm is subject to how quickly those firms provide the required info. GLD will usually cause a delay along with many others.

So the process is delayed because the brokerage firm is waiting on others.

Not yet, brokerage says they will be avail NLT 28 feb. Went ahead and entered everything else into freetaxusa today. Kinda getting annoying waiting but oh well.

Fidelity has delayed mine until Feb. 22 due to the FBTC etf being slow to produce the data for some reason.

I’m in the same boat with FBTC, that’s one of the few trades I made in 2024 and it’s causing me to wait. It’s the last tax document I need to do my taxes.
