Is it safe to put my emergency fund in CIT Bank? They have a 4.95% high yield savings account.

I would go with bigger companies that are close to that rate like cap one discover amex

Sure if it’s fdic insured. We use fierce at 5%. The difference is that the smaller companies take less of a cut in order to earn your business. Also, double check it’s not a teaser rate.

I got fed up with Citi not raising from 4.05% and opened a CIT account

I got the pilot invite a few weeks back to Vanguard with 4.5% and threw in $. 4.95% sounds pretty good, but I like having my money sit somewhere I will likely invest from.
