No. Freeze your credit for free. File a fraud alert with all three bureaus, Here is the guide to Experian.

Ive never used lifelock but don’t they just alert you if somethings not right? My bank and credit cards do that now

Just freeze them. I keep them frozen until I need to use it.

I have it free due to a data breach. I wouldn't pay for it, but I get notifications whenever my identity is verified or I'm added to an account.

I plan to start doing this. Haven't yet because I get 8 or 10 commercial loans per year, but have had ssn included in a couple of breaches this year. Frustrating.

My SSN has been part of at least 5 breaches in the past decade. Keep your credit frozen and sign up for some credit alert mechanism. I haven't had any major issues, though someone will occasionally try to open credit in my name (they haven't succeeded).

Get Rakuten and they constantly run 80-95% cash back promos so you can try it for a year for under $20.

Otherwise, at minimum, yes freeze your credit with the 3 bureaus.

I have LifeLock free through work… honestly, I haven’t seen where they do much of anything.
