LSU - Online Courses - CPA credits

I may not be on the best board, but since I rarely post, I prefer to stay away from the OT unless i have to.
I've got my degree from LSU (Ag Economics) and have been completing the courses necessary to sit for the CPA through UNO. After this semester, I will need one more course (Auditing), which is not offered until the Fall. I'm thinking about grabbing the last credit online through LSU or another online offering if the CPA board will accept the credit. I've been told by a person or two that LSU online is not the best for this, but wanted to get another opinion in case someone on here by chance has gone that route.
Has anyone done this to get CPA required credits? Thoughts? Any recommendations besides LSU online? Thanks in advance for any input.

Had a buddy do correspondence courses and swore it was harder than actual class. I'm not sure about online.
My advice is choose the cheapest option and get it approved by the state board. LSU students do much better nationally on the CPA exam than most universities that have a high number of kids sitting for the exam so the course may be better at LSU but Becker will fill in any gaps a smaller school course doesn't cover.

I believe as long as the school (brick or online) is accredited it doesn't matter. The Louisiana State Board has the education requirements on their website.
If you go the online route I would just find the cheapest, accredited option, in Louisiana I believe NSU may have an online accounting program.

Call the state board Monday morning and ask them about the class and if it qualifies. They maintain a list of all approved classes in the state.
For a state agency, they are actually pretty good at working with people.

Yes I did random classes to get credits to hit the 150. It was the cheapest way to get he credits.
I did two classes in top of a full college courseload but the classes were pass fail for me and I did all of the lessons during my breaks if I recall correctly.

Absolutely will count. First hand experience with this.
No oversight though. So you teach yourself everything. No big deal really. Its easy. Definitely harder than the actual class due the reason above + no "easy" points from class projects, quizzes, extra credit and such. GIGO all the way with online courses.

Mostly just echoing what AmeriKop45 said.
I took Auditing via LSU Distance Learning about 5 years ago so my info might be a little out of date. It was a pretty easy pass/fail course, and although I didn't learn a ton, I got the 3 credit hours I wanted.
If I recall correctly, LSU wouldn't even let me take Auditing as a non-accounting degree student (I graduated in Finance and went back for an extra semester to get more accounting hours). Apparently there were only enough spots in the class for Accounting BS students, so I had to take it online regardless. It was a better experience anyway since it was cheaper and more convenient.
ETA: when I researched it back then, the state board would only accept a certain number of credit hours via distance learning (possibly around 15 if I remember correctly), but they definitely would accept it.

Had a friend take the classes through one of the completely online colleges and the board accepted them for him to sit for the exam. I think as long as the university is "accredited" they will accept the classes

I need a cost accounting and a commercial law class.
Any recommendations of online courses to knock these 2 out?

Go with the cheapest route to get to the target number of credits. Community college? Do they offer high-level accounting courses? Do you need high-level accounting courses?
