Liz1977, I hope you see this and the other advice you've received but you should definitely take the 'W' and withdraw from the class TODAY if you haven't already.
Today is the last day to withdraw from classes. You'll have a 'W' on your college transcript but at least it won't impact your GPA.

I thought you were kicked out for a grade lower than a "C".

Not sure. I know you can make C's as long as your overall GPA is over 3.0.

I'm not sure how closely LSUS adheres to this but here is what page 138 and 139 says from the LSUS 2016 - 2017 General Catalog:
Probation and Ineligibility
A graduate student is expected to maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA. The cumulative GPA includes all graduate work attempted. A graduate student who fails to earn a 3.0 GPA in any term and whose cumulative GPA falls below 3.0, including accelerated terms and Summer terms, will be placed on academic probation. A graduate student on academic probation must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher for each term on probation with no course grades of C or below. Probationary status is removed when the student raises his/her cumulative GPA to 3.0 or better. A graduate student who fails to correct his/her cumulative GPA within the next twelve credit hours in which the student is enrolled will be dropped from the graduate program. In addition, a graduate student will be dropped from his/her program for the following reasons:
- Cumulative GPA falls below a 2.0;
- More than six credit hours with a grade of C or lower in all graduate work attempted;
- Three credit hours with a grade of C and three credit hours with a grade of D in all graduate work attempted; or
- A grade of F in a graduate course

What is the scheduling and payment like for the MBA courses? Can you schedule and pay for them a la carte as you go? How does it work if you want to stretch it out over 24 months?
The reason I'm asking is because my employer will pay $5500 per calendar year for graduate degrees. If I can spread it out over 3 calendar years, then I could do it at very little out of pocket cost.

I don't think the registration system allows you to schedule courses more than 1 semester (2 online accelerated terms) in advance. And its pay as you go after you register. Its up to you to build your own tentative schedule. After you register for a course you generally have until the week before the course to pay for it full.

Winchester, you're correct. I talked to LSUS accounting this morning and they confirmed we can not pre-pay for all our remaining courses ahead of time.
Many years ago in my undergrad the college I went to would give discounts if you pay ahead of time. I wasn't even asking for a discount but wanted to lock in the current rate. We'll just have to hope they don't have too many increases before we finish.

I am waiting to here if I was accepted. They received all my transcripts 3 weeks ago. How long does it normally take for a decision.
They were great about pestering me to apply and then to send in information but have gone mute now.

I'd say you should hear any day now. It took me about 3 weeks to hear back once they had all my transcripts.
Good luck! Hope you join us!

For those in MADM 701, do y'all have to do Peer Reviews each week or is it just writing for your assignments? I had to lmao at people asking Mabry for extra credit and she said she'd give a total of 1% extra credit if we filled out the course eval. ONE MORE WEEK!

Aurebelman I remember waiting a few anxious weeks for my acceptance as well. Throughout the whole program I've been impressed with how often they've communicated with me.
9Breese9 there are no peer reviews in MADM 701 with Williams. Responses to posts are optional and may receive extra credit if they meet certain criteria. Williams makes it seem that extra credit for responses is given sparingly though.

I attempted a couple peer reviews for extra credit in MADM 701 but it was clear that to earn any additional credit you'd have to write a very detailed response. I felt like I had enough homework to handle already.

have you taken the second assessment (exam)? It says 70 questions, I thought it would have been 60.
Posted on 12/2/16 at 10:31 am to Paul Allen
socal that's exactly my reasoning for not doing any peer reviews.
I have not taken the assessment. Pretty sure we get more time for this one since it is more questions. I'm not looking forward to it.

I took exam #2 right after it went active as I'm out here in the West Coast. It was tougher than the first exam in my opinion.

Syllabus says 120 points but it also says 140.
Posted on 12/2/16 at 11:54 am to Paul Allen
She changed it to 140. The exam is 70 questions (2 points each).

I made a better grade on this exam than I did the first one
