Looking to get either an MBA or MHA through LSUS and I want to know everybody's feedback on this school. I am in Florida so all the classes are 100% online. I currently work in a professional field so these classes would be to further my position.

The MBA is only 12,000, being so cheap is kind of scares me.

Not a waste of time per se, but if you have a solid brick and mortar option close by... Half the MBA experience is networking and working collaboratively in teams.

If you need an MBA to advance at your current company and they don't care how you get your MBA it is probably a fine option. If you're trying to get jobs in Florida that require an MBA applying with your online MBA from LSUS probably isn't the best idea.

Also, you get what you pay for in most cases.

you probably don't have to specify that it was an online MBA on your resume since I doubt they put that on the certificate you get. Just think about wheter an MBA from LSUS is worth it compared to a more well known/respected school.

Waste of time and money unless your employer told you, "Hey, we need you to have an MBA so we can advance you, go check that box."

Which makes up a large part of most online programs, you just collaborate with your team online using the many tools that are available, and with the added benefit that some of your team members my be in China, India or elsewhere. Its 2015 major projects are proposed, studied, engineered, and completed with the major contributors having never been in the same room together.

It's a 30 hour program, not 36. Each session is 7 weeks, and you can take up to 2 core classes and 2 electives.

Seems to me like it would be what you make of it. If you go through the motions and do minimum it takes to make a grade, then not worth it. If you try to actually learn the information and apply it, then it would be worth it.

That is the normal price tag for traditional classes.

Does it really matter that much whether I get a masters from one smaller school or another. do employers take that much into consideration?

Has anybody actually graduated from this program that can give me feedback.

I have only seen a negative bias from employers when the degree came from online-only schools like Univ. of Phoenix and others.

I think that perception still exists but most schools now have online classes even for students that are living on campus. I just think it's the direction of the future.

10 years ago people seemed to be ashamed of online dating now it seem everyone is doing it. I think online education will be the same thing. Granted some programs will be more respected than others. I think LSUS will be better perceived than U of Phoenix or other for profit schools.

Its the Louisiana State University System behind it so I would say it carries the credibility in the region that LSU brings with it.

Probably a stupid question...but how would a potential employer know you got the LSU MBA online?

First OP lives in Florida

Second no employer is gonna look at an LSU MBA and an LSUS MBA and think, "same thing"
