Noob question - what does whitelisting an address do?
basically gives you permission to mint. The mint contract checks your address against the whitelist and either denies you or lets you mint. It’s a way to keep out bots.

yeah and Luna being brand new into the nft space makes it really hard to find good projects. The sol guys I follow aren’t into Luna at this moment for obvious reasons with sol NFTs exploding

true. There is knowhere.art which does auctions mostly and has like 3 projects listed, including the first luna nft spaceloot. Randomearth.io should be up in the next couple of days.

Eta: and talis is going to be a big marketplace when they finally launch too

What’s # is it? There’s a rarity spreadsheet going around. That’s gotta be top 5%, I would think

It’s showing 1,500/10,000 on the sheet, but the sheet is kinda messed up. It’s showing 4 traits with one being black hair. Mine has no hair. Think they are still ironing out bugs because when I first minted it was showing black hair as a trait in my wallet, but the trait has since dropped off and I’m down to 3.

No black hair here, just legend:

should be great as long as they have smart contracts

my ADA nft experience was pitiful lol

really feeel like solana is the first platform normal people are starting to actually *use* instead of just hold, hopefully that can happen with luna as well

i also feel retired boomers and grandmas will buy and sell nfts, something that they largely ignored with just regular crypto.

also, coinbase needs to be building an nft market asap. i doubt armstrong is wise enough to do so though

Ehh maybe. They think NFTs are even more ridiculous than crypto. I had the conversation with my dad yesterday when he was at the house, showed him the value of the ones I had, and he said I was insane lol. It was funny because I reminded him we had that exact same conversation and his reaction was identical to when I pitched bitcoin to him in 2018. 2 years after that conversation he was all in on bitcoin. I told him we will revisit NFTs in a couple years and he said no chance in hell he would ever come around to that idea

Hype died a lot over the weekend so I sold a few non rare for a small profit at 3.6 to lower my baggage if it kept going down. Kept my two 185s.

my wife talked to her mom about what I was doing with NFTs and she looked into it and wanted to give me money to invest in them for her. Not comfortable enough to do that yet though

interesting, yeah I NFT-pilled an old art collector this weekend

6 figure pieces all over her home, that no one can see, unless they visit, but with NFTs everyone, anywhere, can look at your collection

she signed up immediately...but it is hard for some to wrap their mind around

im long term bullish on studs, especially if they deliver the gaming platform (which i feel is the next step w nfts); one of the main guys is an old John Madden developer

To be fair. Boomers have attics full of beanie babies too.

I’m halfway kidding with the beanie baby talk… I want to learn more about them but it seems hard to follow and researched without getting scammed.
