I saw it’s at $119 a share. I remember when it was at like $17 a share. Is it too late to start buying it?

I traded it years ago and it burned me.

I got in at 62 and it ran up to 78 and then crashed so I got back out at 62.

Now look at it.

I can't figure it out. Can't seem to put my finger on it or where funding comes from or how stable. Just seems to exists....

I can't read it either way so I backed off and removed it from the watch list so it doesn't tempt me. I was in it heavy when I got in at 62 as I felt it was solid and would be. Maybe could. I just got to where I couldt trust it.

I rode it from 32 to 80 where it stalled. Got out and into NBIS and PLTR rocketed. No way i can touch it after up $40 in three weeks. Thought for sure it would pull back after it hit $102 but its not stopping. Doesnt it have the highest pe ratio

I'm the world's worst stock picker but I wouldn't touch this stock with a 10 foot pole. That being said, the stock market doesn't give a crap about it's ridiculous P/E and it appears all you have to do is have your CEO say "AI" or "Crypto" in earnings calls and up your stock goes

I have 100 shares left I can’t bring myself to sell given the fact it’s still underperforming its meme peers, and unlike its peers it has government contracts that make it’s business model sustainable indefinitely. But, I can’t envision a scenario where I’d add.

Its current price is fundamentally unjustified. Three years ago it was predicted to be a $40 stock based on 30% yoy sales growth projections into 2026. I think they even came up a little short, yet the price is triple the prediction while shares have also been diluted 30% in that time…yet now you have forward looking predictions from $150-200, which I can’t explain.

its p/s, s means sale, is around 100.
From what I know, pltr doesn't have advantages in technology, but it is well connected to Gov. And they can get businesses from gov.

Really? PLTR doesn't have advantages? Lol, they don't seem to have any competition to me.

The reason is people don't know how to estimate a company that doesn't seem to have any competition. Until competition shows up, i wouldn't sell that stock. People were saying they were overvalued when they were a $14 dollar stock and really before that. There is no doubt they will get more commercial and government contracts. I owned the stock from 14 to 80 and the only reason I sold was because I needed the money for what I thought was an even better opportunity. Lol, kicking myself a bit the last few weeks.

I wouldn't buy it right now. I'm not real experienced on financials but it seems to me like it's ran up too fast and will fall back down before it goes up much higher.

Right now for the last few months everyone on social media stock forums is hot on it probably driving it up

I have loved this stock almost since it's IPO. I had accumulated 1000 shares when it was in the teens and rode it out when it bottomed out at $6.

I sold some shares in the 40's and moved that money into NVDA and sold the rest when it hit $100 last week. All told I pocketed over 40K and was able to surprise my wife with a very nice Christmas present.

As it stands today it has a P/E ratio over 600 which makes it way overvalued just based on technical's.

Looking forward they have a "monoploy" on some highly classified government technology and I am hearing of some close connections to DOGE and XAi so I expect them to be a major player going forward.

Based on it's high value I expect it to have a pull back as people take profits . If it pulls back into the 70's- 80's I will consider getting back in.

This one is tough to figure out. I set my stop loss at $95 a couple of weeks ago. I may move it up to $105.

Think it's recent rise is due to Elon taking over DC?

Yes, can you imagine Palantir Software across all the government agencies? What would that make the stock worth? In addition to them getting work for company after company.....I personally think it is a long-term hold, sky is the limit. Until there is a competitor at least...

Fudge that noise! Take off your stop loss and ride this puppy to the moon. No need to increase the supply of shares available to borrow if the stop loss gets triggered. I'm a long term holder since the mid teens on this one and would have had multiple stop losses hit had I placed any.

If you're okay selling at $105, then take your winnings now and give yourself a pat on the back. If you're in it for the long haul take off the stop loss and take some Dramamine for the the ups and downs.

If you're wanting to leverage without risk of losing the shares you have then just buy a put option.

HAHA i was just coming to check on you/this thread. like i said...take the Dramamine for the big up and down swings. Can't say today didn't make me nervous, but diamond hands baby.

1. Announcement of defense spending budget cuts may hurt the defense industry as a whole, but PLTR is all about efficiency. Ultimately I think this benefits PLTR because I don't think what they are capable of is worth cutting by the government. Just my opinion though.

2. Karp cancelling one trade schedule to make a new one where he will sell upwards of $1B+ in shares will naturally trim off some retail buyers, but IIRC this happened last year too so not too concerned.

Overall, nothing fundamentally changed with the company so these two announcements aren't enough to make me jump ship.

Yep, still has a 600+ PE and Govt is talking about cutting defense budget 45%.

I love PLTR stock but this stock is not a buy currently.
