Had two companies come out to quote. Both vastly different in solution, and price. One quoted ~$6k, and the other $11.3k. lol
Is this the shadiest business on the planet??
If anyone has any good experiences that can share, or advice on companies to contact/go with, it would be greatly appreciated!

You tend to get more accurate quotes when you know the scope of work and ask someone to price it. Ask one of your engineer buddies to figure a solution, then talk to the contractor performing the work.

Pier and beam house? Slab? What kind of foundation?

Slab. House was built in '83.

Look into the foam injection companies as they are much cheaper than your Olshan types. I’ve done it on a few houses with great success. Look into Uretek or similar. I’m not familiar with the BR companies but there should be several doing it. It lifts/levels the house while also stabilizing the soil.

Can you describe in detail what the problem is?

Sure.
Substantial cracking in the brick. House is about 2.5” out of level from one corner to the other.
Cracks showing in Sheetrock as well. Main door has gone out of level and is now rubbing the top of the frame.
I contacted a Structural Engineer who specializes in residential inspection. I’d prefer to get their take on what’s going on to determine which solution is most accurate before dropping that kind of money on a repair.

This cracking and movement just happened recently? Or at least got significantly worse than it was?

LSUe'12, I'd be interested in what you find out and which company in BTR you select. TY.

My house is starting to have issues too although not as substantial as yours.
I knew about it when I bought it and the seller discounted the sale price by 8k. I'll have to get it fixed soon though. WCK quoted me 10k about 4 years ago - 2450 sq ft house + breezeway and garage. Probably about 3300 sq ft total under roof.

Have you had any large trees removed from your property over the past few years?

WCK foundation repair in Denham Springs did my foundation in 2017 and I was very impressed with their work. Had several companies look at the job and I got quotes from $11K to $30K. WCK was recommended on this forum and that was excellent advice. They surveyed, did elevations, and gave me a job description drawing for free. They spent 2 days digging footers and pouring concrete, then returned a week later to level the foundation and back fill the holes with dirt and cement. They also filled cracks in the brick veneer. Cost $12K. 225-664-5956. Good Company.
The company that wanted $30K wanted me to sign a contract with an arbitration clause. DON'T EVER sign a contract with an arbitration clause. It's a huge scam.
