Fightin Tigers I don't know if you've seen this but this is an outrageously cool video from earlier this year of Dave Marcis giving someone a tour of his old race shop.
I follow Stapleton42 on YT and he has a bunch of other great videos like this. Some of my favorites have been his tours of Rockingham and Darlington, his tour of the Wood Brothers museum, helping to clean out one of Darrell Waltrip's old Western Auto haulers, and hanging out with Harry Gant.
His presentation is kind of dry, but it's awesome if you are a geek for the historical stuff.

Talked a big game. Couldn’t back it up. Can’t throw out predicting to make the playoffs and be around 30th in points.

For sure. I used to listen to his podcast. Unsubscribed once I figured out his confident optimism was actually just ignorant delusion.

Imma still listen. He had SVG on multiple times.

Spire is spending lots of money to get better so they have to have someone waiting to sign that is lights out better than Lajoie. When you hire a Crew chief like Childers you don't waste his cars with a mediocre driver. I'll be surprised if its kyle.

So I’m guessing the Spire lineup will be McDowell, Hocevar and Zane Smith. Maybe? McDowell will obviously be there since he just signed a multi-year deal with Spire. I would expect Hocevar to be there, as well.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Kyle. He clearly isn’t happy at RCR. Childress has a guy in Austin Hill waiting for a seat. Spire has deep pockets. They are the type to buy someone out. Plus that 7 car doesn’t need much funding. I don’t think Spire is looking for much.

WTF?
Haas Factory Team held discussion with Hailie Deegan about possible Xfinity ride
Joe Custer, president of Haas Factory Team, confirmed conversations with Deegan, who is out of a ride after parting ways with AM Racing earlier this month.
This was Deegan’s first season in the Xfinity Series. The 23-year-old didn’t start driving stock cars until seven years ago. She had success in the ARCA Series but not as much in three Truck seasons. She scored the best debut by a female driver in both the Truck Series (2020) and Xfinity Series (2022).
She moved to AM Racing ahead of this season. Deegan’s best finish was 12th in 17 starts. The team replaced here at Chicago with Joey Logano. AM Racing and Deegan each announced after Chicago that they had parted ways. Josh Berry is driving for the team in Saturday’s Xfinity race at Indianapolis (3:30 p.m. ET on USA Network).
“We believe there’s more in her and we want to be a part of that,” Joe Custer said Saturday in response to a question from NBC Sports about Deegan being a candidate for a Haas Factory Team ride. “But that’s for future conversations.”

NASCAR to install lifters on NextGen cars by Michigan weekend to solved the issue of cars with flats being beeched for lengthy periods of time
NASCAR hopes it has found a solution to Cup Series cars with flat tires getting beeched and requiring a lengthy process in returning them to pit road.
Speaking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, NASCAR Vice President of Competition Elton Sawyer says a lifter system will be place to nurse cars back to their teams.
“Yeah, so it’s a system on the rear of the car that works around the shock absorber,” Sawyer said
“We’re hoping that the fix will be (this) quick connect that will be connected or installed … that when the track service worker gets there, they basically can take an air hose, if you will, and pump that up to the rear tire (which) will lift up and then give the drivers the ability to drive back to pit road.
“Today we’re having to hook ’em up or push ’em. We are way too far in the middle, if you will, or deep end of having cars get back to pit road so they can start their service.”
Sawyer says there will be a valve to get air to the lfiters that will pick the back of the car up.
“Then, when they get to pit road, there’s a valve (where) they just hit the valve in the rear of the car and it will go back down.”

To clear up the wreck by Preece on the 2nd to last lap. Some blamed Chase for running him over but like I alluded to he ran out of fuel

Stapleton 42’s videos are priceless to me.
Check out his time spent with Jimmy Means.
Really good content for us old schoolers.

Kyle sold his team to Spire so there is already a connection between them. Interesting to see if that comes to fruition.

Kyle has run some Truck Series races for Spire this year, as well.

Kyle with Rodney would be huge. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Strange that he’d wipe his Instagram, but then come out and say the stuff about Pitbull selling is totally false.
