Pretty routine work for Tsitsipas today.

7-5, 6-1 to Demon. Rafa was definitely a bit inconsistent. I would probably just practice hard for a few weeks and play Rome. But, I assume he has pressure to play Madrid and may do so since he needs matches, anyway.

I think they're extending a bunch of Masters out to 1.5-2 week events now. I guess that is good for the players and scheduling, but I feel bad for any smaller events that might be lost.

The big problem is for the guys not ranked high in this new look. The lower tiers are going to be seriously struggling and there just simply will not be enough room for everyone.

I'm surprised the odds on Tsitsipas and Ruud haven't dipped down to like +600.

Possible fatigue + Madrid is at altitude, but I do agree with you, especially with Novak out and still some Alcaraz uncertainty.

I like this thought pattern. Never going to bet on Tsitsipas though. Rudd I could see being one of those one slam guys though.

Shapovalov got a win today. I forgot all about him. I saw some quotes that make it seem Nadal is not doing great, he's going to battle just to take the court in Madrid. But, I don't think RG looks good.

Yeah I think he said if RG was today he wouldn't play, but I didn't read into why.

More blue clay fun...

I’ve never been a clay fan. I’ll watch but not with the intensity of other surfaces…

The players cried like babies about the conditions and got the color changed.
