The Daytona 24 is coming up soon! Excited to see that race. As usual, there will be a number of one-time drivers in that race: Scott Dixon, Alex Palou, Romain Grosjean, Kevin Magnussen, Colton Herta, Felipe Massa, Scott McLaughlin, Shane van Gisbergen, Connor Zilisch, Austin Cindric, James Hinchcliffe, and Parker Kligerman.

There will also be an incredible 61 cars on the grid! 37 of those are GTD cars and the remainder, 24, are prototypes (12 GTP and 12 LMP2).

Hell yes. MotoGP will be back the same weekend as the first race too. Can't wait for March.

I try to think of it as the first sign of spring.

Rolex 24 @DIS is the best value of any motorsports event.

Will be nice to see the Lamborghini program this season

Will be heading back to the Rolex for the first time since the 2019 race. Hopefully we get a full 24 hours this year and the rain won’t be as severe. (Every race we go to, no matter the series has rain or a threat of rain. Smh)

Did you camp in the infield when you went previously? I’m looking into it for next year. Although Petit Le Mans looks like a blast too!

Been going since 2018.

I recommend to anyone sitting in the grandstands at DIS to grab a pair of shure se215 earbuds.

The shure black olives are the best eartips I've used. Even better than the custom ear molds I use for racing.

Will be using H80 Track Talk Linkable Intercom Headsets this year. Me and my friend get tired of screaming at each other.

As for the scanners, I recommend looking at a frequency sheet from the Petite and programming those ahead of time. Most of the teams carry over frequencies.

If using a scanner please use this antenna at DIS LINK

You'll get lots of interference if you try to use standard whip antennas.

Cannot be stressed enough, if you have little children avoid the grid walk at all cost. Last year and the year before it could've gotten very ugly with the large number of people in that area.

Qualifying is on Thursday of race week

Here's to hoping they let the Valkyrie run without sound restrictions.

Is there any word on who will be on Fox’s Indycar broadcast crew?

Where are the best seats to see the most action? I know turn 1 is famous (as it usually is at every circuit).

I listened to Trackside and the Pruett podcasts recently. I believe Will Buxton has inked a deal with FOX. Pruett said - in no uncertain terms - that FOX is making a major mistake if they don't sign Hinchcliffe (I agree). Kevin Lee was tightlipped about any interest from FOX in his podcast.

IndyNXT star Jack Abel to Dale Coyne to drive the #51 Honda for 2025!

The Dale Coyne #18 is the only open full-time seat remaining on the Indycar grid. 26/27 seats have been filled.

In my past two trips, I flew in and slept in a rental car the first time, then flew right back home, pretty much only sleeping on the plane for 48 hours (I don’t recommend that route)

The second time we went we tent camped outside. It was cold as hell, but it was great, we got there super early on Thursday when the gates opened and got us a perfect spot on the back row, right by the entrance (so no one was behind us & got extra room).

*The problem I’ve noticed now, they’ve taken away the tent camping spots that were closer to the trams and converted them to Arab spots. And the outside tent camping is reduced to the far back corner (which is a long hike to the trams to the infield)

*Id love to get an infield camping spot in the future but they’re hard to come by unless you want to pay a lot more.

For this trip, I figured out what dates this year’s race would be held while watching last year’s race, and booked a vrbo for really cheap about a mile from the track, so we’ll have a spot to easily go back and forth to during the night.

Anyone here ever been to Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta? That's not too far from where I live and I like the aspect of being able to drive home on a Sunday.
