Last one to win a Super Bowl is the 1970 winner (Jim Plunkett)
JD and Caleb Williams got some historic voodoo against their careers.
There are pundits tonight saying, not a single QB in this draft class lasts more than 5 years in this league.
Ouch. Why anyone was comparing this class to the 1983 QB class is how far the NFL has fallen.

Only 11 Heisman winners period have won a Super Bowl, the last one was Reggie Bush before that it was Charles Woodson. The only QB other than Plunkett to win one was Staubach.
Eta : Bush 2005 is the most recent Heisman winner to win the SB XLIV Woodson 1997 won the most recent SB XLV
LINK
Since the link was before yesterday it’s not counting Bush and only 21 with Bush have even played in it.

Are you saying that popularity awards don’t necessarily translate to success at the next level? Mind blown

It would appear that good QBs are exiting the league and aren’t being replaced when the last good QB class was the 2020 draft.

I'm no expert, but don't Heisman winners tend to get drafted by shitty teams?

This is a great question and I have no idea how to answer it. Is it the lack of complication of college offenses? Lack of veterans on NFL rosters? Lack of patience allowing rookie QB’s to develop?
You’d think with the improved QB coaching from when kids were 7 that we would have MORE good qb’s, not less.

Typically. Because most Heisman winners go high in the NFL Draft.

Burrow and Cam got to Super Bowls, at least.

I watched a good bit of pre-draft coverage and didn't hear 1 person making this comparison. If it was, it would be how many 1st rounders there were. I don't think anybody actually thinks there will be 3 guys in this class that have the careers of Elway, Marino, and Kelly.

What are you even talking about? This thread it retarded.

Yes, the Heisman is simply a popularity award. It has nothing to do with being a really, really good COLLEGE player. It is all about how the player projects to the NFL…and popularity.
