It's unclear what caused the wreck, but the luxury vehicle was completely mangled on the side of the road of a Los Angeles neighborhood based on images we have viewed.

Sounds like the coma is just precautionary.

Hope he comes out of it in good health.

It looks like someone who hit the gas on Beast mode and found a tree. I don't know why parents allow kids to buy these types of cars. This thing has 858 hp or 0-60 in 2.9 seconds.

Jesus Christ

Under no circumstances should this person be allowed to drive anymore. Anyone who drives like this should be locked up, imo. There is simply no room in society for people willing to put lives in danger for such a trivial thing like driving your car like a fricking maniac for fun. 42,500 car accident deaths every year.

You drive like this, you should be walking or bumming a ride for the rest of your life.

Wow this is crazy! I was wondering why there was no Gil’s Arena podcast yesterday….I hope he recovers fully. I’ve got a feeling that when the details unfold this will be an ugly story. I hope I’m wrong.

Once he recovers, if he was under the influence, he should be charged like every other person would be. At minimum, he should be cited (you do not crash like that without speeding). He is 18, and therefore, an adult; thankfully, he did not hurt anyone else. He'll probably get off, since he's a rich kid who plays basketball.

Well then, he was speeding excessively, and needs to be cited/penalized as such. He's lucky he was not killed.

Don't all Teslas have cameras everywhere? I would assume they can pull up the footage of the crash.

A USC basketball recruit has had something terrible happen to them three years in a row

Vince Iwuchukwu- Cardiac arrest
Bronny- Cardiac arrest
Arenas- Car crash

Apparently he's in stable conditions so hopefully he'll be ok
