Giannis, Steph, j morant, Durant, etc are still in the nba and are active players in the nba.
If you meant best player in playoffs then that’s different, but you said best in the nba.

You actually think Ja is anywhere close to Ant or any of the other players you listed???
Ant actually plays defense, is a great leader, and doesn’t get suspended for being a jackass. Ja Morant is closer to Ben Simmons than Anthony Edwards

What I think is I watched every wolves game this year and not just the past 5 games and am not giving hot takes about a player I barely know
Ant is my favorite player (and naz Reid) and he’ll be the best in the nba in the future.
But he’s still young and inconsistent. He’s going off in these playoffs and if he keeps it up, we have a shot at a title and I’ll put him top 3 if he can lead us there.
But his play this season as a whole is more in line with a top ten-ish player. And you’re nuts if you don’t think ja is a top ten player.
I’d take ant a million times over ja, but ja is definitely in that tier.

I’m also a Timberwolves fan and have watched almost every game of Ant’s professional career. Congrats on being a condescending bitch though

His scoring has been inconsistent. But his play making has been solid all year. His ability to elevate teammates has been good all year. His defensive floor has also been good all year. In high-stakes situations he has been able to play defense at a very high level all year.

Ja is top ten in offensive flashiness. That’s it. He’s a defensive liability. And he doesn’t even play because of his terrible decision making. Memphis won 27 games this year, largely because Ja is a dumbass. How could you possibly think he’s a top-ten player?
The Joker
Durant
Giannis
AD
SGA
Curry
Ant
Luka
Tatum
Embiid
You’d rank Ja over any of these guys?

Unreal that any top 10 list of current players right now wouldn’t include Brunson…just unreal. For example: at this moment in time would you rather have Curry or Brunson?

Ant man plays like Jordan. Dude wants it on both ends of the floor

Personally I’d have Brunson over Steph. Love Steph but Brunson is lights out rn.
I only made that top ten list because that poster said that Ja was obviously a top ten player
lol no he’s not. Brunson is a baller. So is Mitchell and Booker.
Imagine thinking Ja was on the level of Ant or Brunson.

That is a New take...Everyone including Phil agrees that Kobe came into the league more skilled than Jordan...
Funny you have missed that Kobe had a better jumper then MJ did as a rookie.
Kobe also was more fundamentally sound than MJ comparatively speaking.
Better footwork, a better jump shot, no weaknesses skill wise..
I don't get where awkward comes into play???

Not there yet.
What has he won?
How many ALL Defensive teams has he made??
1 great season and prior to this year he disappeared too many times in big games and playoff series

Not even close!!
This year is the first in his NBA career that he has taken everything to the next level..
Off season training, offensive game, defense and leadership!
If he continues improving, stays consistent then he MIGHT eventually reach the level that MJ,Kobe, Wade,Jerry West,Steph Curry,Klay Thompson reached...

Brunson could always score...
Ja was unstoppable especially going downhill because of his jumping ability and his use of either hand at the rim!!
Brunson ,Booker,Mitchell and Edwards are not doing anything that Ja hasn't done!
It's about doing it yearly as far as individual greatness.
The ultimate goal is championships and none of them has won a title yet!
None of them are better than Curry.
None of them has proven that they have what it takes to win multiple playoff series yet either.
That is why even though they are popular and the future of the league; they all have a lot to prove before they can "BE BETTER " than Curry,Kobe,MJ,Wade,West,Isiah, Magic and other multiple title winning HOF guards.
Even the Great Oscar Robertson with 1 ring did (accomplished) so much in his career that these young players are ranked way down the list!
A few good years and lack of winning and you compare these dudes to ALL TIME TITLE WINNING GREAT PLAYERS??

He’s the best two way guard and that’s not close.
I do think his trajectory is to become the best player in the NBA tho.
When healthy, which doesn’t happen much, Embid is 1a and Joker is 1b. But since Embid is often injured, I think it’s Joker, Ant Man, and Embid in that order.

He just wasn’t near the athlete MJ was. Jordan looked smooth because he was an A++ athlete and was as fundamentally sound as it gets for a rookie. Kobe was still raw early in his career and was only ever a B+/A- athlete at best during his absolute peak so it was harder for him to do the things MJ did from a physical standpoint.

You don't get more Jordan than Kobe.

Only real difference is the smoothness Jordan had athletically.
